“Ray Of Sunshine” Pinay Nurse In UK Dies From Suspected Coronavirus
PINAY NURSE DIES IN UK – One of the Filipina frontliners in the battle against COVID-19 in the United Kingdom had died.
The Pinay nurse died in Rugby, a market town in England. According to reports from GMA, the nurse, Leilani Dayrit was called a “ray of sunshine” to those who have met her.
Dayrit was 47-years-old and was a suspected COVID-19 case. However, before she was ill, she was called by her colleagues as Mummy Lei. Meanwhile, reports from BBC news stated that she placed herself under self-isolation for a week before she died.

As per the report, Dayrit was said to have asthma. If we look back at the majority of COVID-19 cases, most fatalities often had a preexisting illness and were in old age.
However, there were still cases of younger patients that have fallen ill due to the virus. Meanwhile, another report stated that two Filipino hospital employees in the UK had also died due to suspected COVID-19.
The report identified the deceased as Oscar King Jr and Elbert Rico. Additionally, both were porters at John Radcliffe hospital.
