Bohol Governor Arthur Yap assured that they haven’t forgotten the stranded Boholanos as they put the plan to fetch them in motion/

According to Bohol Chronicles, “Oplan Exodus” aims to allow stranded Boholanos to enter the island province once the no-sail policy from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is lifted.

Yap, however, told Boholanos, specifically students and displaced workers, to still be patient as the plan must be initiated in a way that it would not harm the residents in Bohol which is currently free from COVID-19.

The Bohol governor said that he coordinated with the health experts in the province in making measures to safely allow the entry of Boholanos via strict quarantine protocols. adding that he will meet the mayors of Bohol for advice on implementing the plan.

Home of the famed Chocolate Hills, the province has set up isolation centers in less than a month, which can accommodate at more than a thousand individuals.

As per the report, Yap initially cited the lack of isolation centers and health facilities as the main basis in closing the borders of the province, adding that the ECQ measures made Bohol more prepared for an outbreak.

The Capitol, meanwhile, ramps up its validation capacity in determining the qualification of stranded Boholanos in receiving cash aid. It then extended at about ₱1 million in cash aid to around 500 stranded Boholanos.
