Vico Sotto reacts as he was tagged ‘tricycle operator’
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto was mistakenly tagged ‘tricycle operator’ in a news report and this received a reaction from him.
Being a politician at a young age, Vico showed that he deserves the trust and chance given by the Pasiguenos to him to lead the city. Amid the health crisis in the Philippines, he has been making tremendous effort to help his constituents.
One of the recent projects that he is pushing is the Social Amelioration Program of Pasig City for those who are not included in the SAP of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). During an interview on GMA’s news program 24 Oras, a blooper happened.
The chargen or character generator put a wrong tag on Vico Sotto’s name. Under his name was a smaller font stating “TRICYCLE OPERATOR”. Known as the son of Bossing Vic Sotto, the Pasig City Mayor is also known for his humor.
He shared a screenshot of the said unintentional mistake on his Instagram story with the caption: “May tricycle pala ako!” After this, Zai Taguinod who said that he is the producer of the segment of the Kapuso news program apologized to Vico. He also included a photo of what should have appeared under the name of the mayor.
“Mayor @VicoSotto! Ako po ‘yung producer ng story na ‘to. Pasig City po dapat ‘yan. Sorry po, nagkamali po ‘yung chargen operator,” Taguinod explained in his Twitter post.
The Pasig City Mayor retweeted this and said in the caption that there is no problem with what happened. “Don’t worry about it! Sa panahon ngayon, kailangan din natin ng konting comic relief,” Vico said. He even joked that “Wag lang po ito makita ng *** at baka isipin nila totoo!! Haha.“
Talking about tricycle, he gave an update about the cash assistance that tricycle drivers already received from the Pasig LGU.
