Notre Dame Cathedral To Hold Small Service During Holy Week 2020
HOLY WEEK 2020 – As 2019 novel coronavirus pandemic rises, Notre-Dame Cathedral will hold the Good Friday mass.
Due to the 2019 novel coronavirus pandemic, the leaders of the Roma Catholic church were forced to do their masses through social media. The deadly virus from Wuhan City, China may have emptied churches but there is nothing that could stop the Filipinos from observing the Holy Week rites.
In a previous article, Archbishop Jose Palma will lead the Holy Week celebration through Facebook. The Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be streamed on Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral Facebook Page at 4 p.m.

Meanwhile, in Paris, the Notre-Dame Cathedral will hold a Mass on Good Friday. The famous church was devastated by fire last year. Based on a report from Reuters, a small congregation of worshippers will attend the service on Friday.
The roof of the medieval church was destroyed by fire and it almost brought down the bells. The terrible incident happened on April 15, 2019.
According to the report, Paris Archbishop Michel Aupetit said they will limit the number of attendees due to the coronavirus lockdown. Devotees can watch the mass online.
“Only a few priests will attend the masses that we will celebrate during the Holy Week and people will be able to follow services on radio or on television,” he said.
