Lady Slams Disrespectful Netizens Who Scorn Deaf Interpreters
A lady netizen slams disrespectful netizens who scorn deaf interpreters of ABS-CBN Tv Patrol, saying that they are doing “TikTok” actions.
Nowadays, social media users are hooked with the multimedia platform called “TikTok”. This app has made many people entertained amid the lockdown and stay at home advisory.
People from different parts of the world share videos of them lip-syncing, viral dances, or comedy skits, which kills boredom of many people especially in the Philippines.
Recently, a concerned netizen slammed others netizens who disrespects deaf interpreters appeared on the ABS-CBN news “TV Patrol”. Netizens scorn them and being compared to TikTok videos.
In the Facebook post of Aimee Gabrielle, she compiles all the photos of netizens who shares insulting post about the deaf interpreters of TV Patrol. She clarified that it’s not TikTok but an inset for deaf community to be aware for the current happenings.
“For Your Information: This is NOT Tiktok. (hindi yan tiktok) inset yan para sa mga Deaf community para maging aware rin sila sa mga balita lalo na sa panahon tulad nito na may pandemic,” she wrote.
“Us, interpreters, are not a laughing matter at all. We serve the Deaf Community and we do this because they need access to information of what’s happening especially in this time of pandemic. If you think it’s funny, it’s NOT FUNNY at all,” she added.
She also shows the RA 7277 or the Magna Carta for Disabled Persons, any person who abuses the privileges granted herein shall be punished with imprisonment. She also informed them that there is a Filipino Sign Language (FSL) Law RA 11106.
His Facebook post has gone viral on social media as many netizens express resentment towards netizens who make fun of it and exhibits hilarious reactions just to escape from boredom.
Meanwhile, the social media platform eyes to ban the application in the Philippines because of non-sense and inappropriate activities Filipinos are making. Aside from that, the users of the app surge since the lockdown has been implemented.
