Currently, the Philippines has reported around 2,311 cases of COVID-19. Along with this, the virus had caused 96 fatalities while 50 have recovered.

However, the sudden increase of confirmed cases were attributed to the Philippines conducting more COVID-19 tests. Furthermore, the additional tests kits meant that more cases would be discovered.

Meanwhile, as per the report, the quarantine facilities were assigned by the government after it designated hospitals such as the Philippine General Hospital and Lung Center of the Philippines as coronavirus referral centers.
