For many netizens, Vico is a government official that others should look up to. Some even wished that their cities also have a leader like him. However, it is inevitable that the young politician can’t also please everybody.

The young mayor continues to provide relief goods to Pasiguenos, especially to those who can no longer work for their families. However, a commotion happened during the relief efforts in Nagpayong, Barangay Pinagbuhatan just recently.

Based on the report from Inquirer, Vico Sotto had a suspicion that the commotion happened with the intention to sabotage the local government’s relief effort.

“There was one person who spread the wrong information that everyone could get their share. So the residents rushed toward our team,” the mayor said in a statement.

Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto also said that the person who spread the wrong information made a scene by screaming and filmed the crowd’s reaction. “It saddens me that there are still people who cause disorder amid the crisis we are facing,” he added. Following this, he apologized to the resident of the said barangay.

Based on the report, there are 33 cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) with three deaths in Pasig City, as of Sunday, March 29.
