An article from GMA News states that the city mayor Isko Moreno recently issued an executive order that bans selling liquor, which will take effect this day.

This followed after some residents in the city did not comply with the protocol to prevent any huge gatherings due to the imposed quarantine.

Moreno was dismayed, adding that yesterday, there were drunkards, karaoke and parties. The ban was to prevent them from going out due to liquor.

The mayor ensured that those who were found selling alcohol will be sanctioned and will have their business permits revoked.

As per the report, Moreno urged residents ti comply with the imposed protocol.

There are 55 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city, with 224 persons under investigation (PUIs).
