Several Pinoy celebs tested positive for COVID-19?
How true is it that several Pinoy celebs tested positive for COVID-19 aside from veteran actor Christopher de Leon and actress Iza Calzado?
On March 17, Christopher confirmed that his test result was positive and love, support, and prayers overflowed. Fortunately, the actor is recovering now and his wife actress Sandy Andolong tested negative.
However, another celebrity was recently confirmed infected by the virus – Iza Calzado. The actress shared a photo of her on Instagram while she is in the hospital. She asked for prayers as she is suffering from pneumonia. Iza said that she was waiting for her COVID-19 test result at that moment. Once again several celebrities and fans offered prayers for the actress who has been in the Philippine entertainment industry for several years now.
Three days after that post of the drama actress, her manager revealed the result of her COVID-19 test. Iza tested positive for the new coronavirus. That makes her the second celebrity who got infected by the virus.
However, based on the article from Philippine Entertainment Portal, aside from Christopher and Iza, there were also several Pinoy celebs who tested positive for COVID-19.
A section of the article by entertainment columnist Jojo Gabinete stated: “Reportedly, may mga showbiz personality na nagpositibo sa COVID-19, pero hindi lumalantad dahil sa takot na baka husgahan sila ng publiko.”
The columnist added that those celebrities who are reportedly infected have nothing to fear in revealing their real health condition. It is because it was not their intention if others will get infected, according to him. Gabinete added that those celebs will be helping the prevention of the virus once they will tell the truth just like what Christopher and Iza did who bravely shared their condition.
