Christopher de Leon is now recovering from COVID-19
Award-winning actor Christopher de Leon was discharged and sent home by his doctor after his COVID-19 treatment.
A week ago, Christopher shared through his Instagram account that he tested positive for novel coronavirus disease 2019. When he shared this, messages of sympathy, love, and support rained over his social media post. The actor’s ex-wife Superstar Nora Aunor also offered prayers for his fast recovery.
Amid the health crisis that Christopher experienced, his wife veteran actress Sandy Andolong showed strength. Sandy also said that her husband is such a strong man. “Di ba, sabi ko nga sa iyo, kakayanin niya iyan? Pero thanks talaga, lahat sila sa bahay, OK na. No problem ng COVID-19,” Christopher’s manager Lolit Solis said in a previous report.
On Tuesday, entertainment reporter MJ Felipe shared on his Twitter post that Christopher de Leon was already discharged. This news was confirmed by Manay Lolit. However, the actor will still undergo a 14-day quarantine after his treatment.
Based on Felipe’s Twitter thread, the actor is concerned for the weak immune system of his wife who went through a kidney transplant operation in the past. On the other hand, Manay Lolit shared that Sandy tested negative for COVID-19.
When the entertainment reporter asked the talent manager if Christopher is already cleared, she said, “Meron pa rin siya. Kasi may sipon pa siya, pero maganda kasi yung recovery (signs) niya kaya pinauwi na siya kaya dapat naka quarantine pa rin.”
In a previous report, the first Filipino who has recovered from coronavirus, Carlo Navarro, shared his experience. He said that he insisted to be tested even though he was told that his symptoms were just mild. True enough, his expectation that he got the virus became reality when the result came.
