Due to COVID-19, these 2 doctors die
Amid the spread of COVID-19 in the Philippines, 2 doctors die while fulfilling their duties to the people.
The frontliners have received recognition for their service to the people and to the country amid the health crisis. Some of them got infected while they are performing their duties.
Unfortunately, 2 doctors die just recently. Based on the report from CNN Philippines, Philippine Heart Association (PHA) announced on Saturday that one of their members succumb to COVID-19 “while fulfilling his duties as a doctor.”
“He is a casualty of this war. We honor him as he lost his young life while fulfilling his duties as a doctor, a young cardiologist and a dedicated member of PHA. Please pray for the eternal repose of his soul. Please pray for all our members and all our other doctors and healthcare workers in the frontlines and all the people who are afflicted by the disease,” the post stated.
For PHA, the young, brilliant, and promising cardiologist is a hero. Aside from him, another doctor died as announced by the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila on Saturday also.
“We deeply mourn the passing of a Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila College of Medicine alumnus who chose to serve the country but lost his life in the fight against COVID-19,” the Facebook post of PLM stated.
The institution also shared that the said doctor “was a scholar whose humble beginnings guided his future. He was doctor to the barrio and a hero.”
