In a report of GMA News, the Philippine News Agency (PNA) has warned the public that there’s no authorized group that has been appointed or formed the local or national government to conduct sanitation or disinfecting households.

According to the PNA’s Facebook post, everyone should be alert and cautious as many are taking advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the Philippines. Their post stated, “BEWARE: There are NO groups authorized by the government to sanitize homes from # Covid19.”

“Please be alert and careful. Kindly inform all family and friends not to open the door to any person or group claiming to be in charge of any party to sanitize homes from the virus. These criminals have looted many houses with this deceptive method. Please circulate as broadly as necessary,” PNA added.

PNA’s advisory came after the government’s announcement of the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon. If experienced, immediately report to your barangay or police.
