Based on a report from GMA, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello stated these absences will not reflect on an employee’s performance assessment.

Moreover, the absences shall not reflect on the employee’s leave credits, said Bello. Although, the no work no pay policy shall apply if the employee refuses to use leave credits.

As per the report, several companies have already implemented work from home schemes.

Recently, the Philippines had faced an increased number of COVID-19 cases. As such, the President imposed an enhanced community quarantine in the entirety of Luzon.

Following this, Bacolod City and Northern Nueva Samar decided to follow in Luzon’s steps and implement a community quarantine of their own.

Currently, the Department of Health (DOH) stated that there is a total of 202 coronavirus cases confirmed in the Philippines. Most of the patients are in Metro Manila.

Based on a recent report, the death toll due to COVID-19 in the Philippines had jumped to 17.

PH201 is a 58-year-old Filipino male from Lanao del Sur with travel history to Malaysia, PH57 is a 65-year-old Filipino male from Pasig City, and PH160 is an 86-year-old Filipino female from San Juan City.
