1st Coronavirus Case in Cebu Recorded by DOH in Mandaue City

DOH – The Department of Health recorded the 1st case of coronavirus in Cebu in the city of Mandaue.

Currently, the Department of Health is on the maximum efforts to monitor the suspected and the confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Philippines. There is now a total of 193 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country.

Most of the coronavirus patients are confined in Metro Manila hospitals and medical facilities. President Rodrigo Roa Duterte placed the whole of Luzon under an “enhanced community quarantine”.

The said declaration heightens the stay-at-home call to the Filipino populace to prevent the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus. Philippines is now under a state of calamity.

The Department of Health continues to update the people regarding coronavirus in the country. Recently, based on a report on CDN, the DOH confirmed the first coronavirus case in Cebu. It was recorded in Mandaue City.

According to the report, the patient, a 65-year-old male, is admitted in a private hospital in Mandaue City. He is the 188th confirmed COVID-19 case in the country.

Currently, there are still no further updates yet from the health department except for the total coronavirus cases climbing to 193. The government and the authorities is calling for the cooperation of the public in the fight against coronavirus.
