“I received a call from Sec. Duque on my condition. My heart sank with what he had said but I’m uplifted with the fact that I am asymptomatic and have no fever or cough nor am I weak or have any headaches,” the lawmaker said. He also shared that taking a self-quarantine last Wednesday was the best decision he has ever made.

With this, he encouraged Filipinos to follow orders and take necessary precautions in order to avoid getting infected. Several netizens expressed sympathy and prayers for him.

On Tuesday, Health Secretary Duque said in a report from GMA News that the COVID-19 rest results of Senator Migz Zubiri may be “false positive”.

“Kung hindi nga lang tayo medyo may limitasyon pa sa testing capacity, gusto ko sanang ipasuri siya ulit kasi hindi naman talagang 100% [accurate]… mayroon din kahit papaanong nakakalusot na mga false positive,” the DOH head said.

Duque added that he wants Zubiri to repeat the test but first, the senator should finish his 10-day quarantine. “Ang mahalaga wala siyang sintomas,” he said, based on the report.

Meanwhile, Senators Sherwin Gatchalian and Nancy Binay have tested negative of the COVID-19. On the other hand, presidential son and Davao City Vice Mayor Baste Duterte is now being monitored after showing symptoms of the coronavirus.
