Filipina actress and singer Roxanne Barcelo is among the celebrities who joined the world of vlogging. During her recent interview with the ‘King of Talk’ Boy Abunda, she said she does not get bothered when she is being compared to vlogger Alex Gonzaga.
Both of them have created humorous content in their respective Youtube channels. The ‘Fluid’ actress currently has 17 videos and garnered 422 thousand subscribers.
Roxanne Barcelo told the prominent host that she and the Gonzaga sisters have known each other for years now. She even wanted to collaborate with her in the future.
On Tuesday, March 17, the 34-year-old actress made rounds on social media after she reposted her fan’s Tweet bashing the “Home Sweetie Home” actress. Roxanne apologized to Alex’s fans for reposting the Tweet.
In the said Tweet, Roxanne Barcelo’s fan praised her for being “super nice” and “funny.” He said the actress mingled with him and his friends at a mall.
Roxanne mindlessly retweeted the post from a thread bashing Alex Gonzaga. This prompts Alex’s fans to react. The former ‘Wild Flower’ actress eventually deleted the Tweet from her page. But the netizens were quick to take a screenshot of it.
Based on a report from PUSH, Alex Gonzaga’s fans called out Roxanne Barcelo for being a “hypocrite” and “plastic.”
“Plastic mo for saying you wanna collab with Alex. You RTed your sub’ hate tweet about Alex. … Stop mentioning her name in your interviews. Alex is Alex. I just don’t know about you. Stop saying she inspires you in vlogging when your actions speak otherwise. Stop using her name for clout. Now we know why your small subscribers are insecure, because they got it from you,” Alex’s fan said.
Roxanne Barcelo apologized to Alex Gonzaga’s fans saying she doesn’t condone hate or bullying. She also stressed in her post that she respects the Youtube star and won’t message her about a collab.
