US Now Under National Emergency Over Coronavirus As Pres. Trump Declared

TRUMP – United States President Donald Trump declared a national emergency in U.S. over the 2019 novel coronavirus.

The 2019 novel coronavirus spares no country – even the progressive ones and the ones with the visible capacity to fight against it. One of the nations affected by the disease that is now pandemic is the United States.

U.S. is actually one of those that were quick to implement measures like travel restrictions when the coronavirus held China under an outbreak. Over 80,000 people were infected in China and more than 3,000 deaths were recorded.

Based on Worldometer, in the United States, there are over 2,200 confirmed cases of coronavirus now. The death toll is at 592.

Amid the increasing cases and deaths due to the 2019 novel coronavirus, Pres. Donald Trump declared a national emergency in U.S. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Chief Executive stressed to “unleash the full power of the federal government”.

Speaking in a press conference held in the Rose Garden of the White House, the U.S. President also raised the possibility of undergoing a coronavirus testing. He was initially not amenable to it.

Based on the report, following the declaration of the national emergency in the American country, up to $40 billion of federal fund will be allocated to help the local authorities. Also, more testing kits would be secured.

The U.S. President expressed his hope to obtain 1.4 million tests next week. The country may also expect a five (5) million tests within a month.
