SEA MAN POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 – The Philippines had seen an increasing number of confirmed COVID-19 cases.

Currently, the total number of confirmed cases in the Philippines is at 24. Yesterday night, President Duterte announced four more confirmed cases adding to the previous 20.

In lieu of this, President Rodrigo Duterte had placed the Philippines under a state of public health emergency. Following this, several classes in the Metro Manila area had been suspended.

This time, Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla confirmed that a returning seaman from Imus was positive for COVID-19.

According to a report from Philstar, the man passed through Narita Airport in Japan. Currently, the man is confined at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine.

Along with this, the second case of Persons of Interest (PUIs) was a woman who was now confined in a private hospital in Imus.

Remulla stated that the woman had just arrived from South Korea. Following this, swab samples from the patient were submitted to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine as of 6 PM yesterday.
