JUST IN: DOH CONFIRMS 10 NEW CASES OF COVID-19 – The Department of Health had confirmed 10 additional cases of the new coronavirus, COVID-19.
This brings the number of confirmed cases in the Philippines to a total of 20. According to an article from Inquirer, DOH Assistant Secretary Ma. Rosario Vergeire stated:
DOH reported 10 more coronavirus cases on top of four new cases announced yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 20,
Just yesterday the DOH had already announced 4 new cases of COVID-19. Meanwhile, over 250 people are under monitoring for symptoms of COVID-19.
This came after the people attended a high school reunion with a Fil-Aussie balikbayan who tested positive for COVID-19 in Australia.
According to a report from the Manila Bulletin, Gov. Amado Espino III said the Filipino-Australian attended a high school reunion in Dagupan City.
As per the report, the DOH 1 Director Valeriano Jesus Lopez stated that no one among the 250 person placed under monitoring revealed symptoms of COVID-19.
