BREAKING NEWS: Marikina Confirms First Case Of Coronavirus
BREAKING NEWS: MARIKINA CONFIRMS 1ST COVID-19 CASE – Marikina City Mayor, Marcelino “Marcy” Reyes Teodoro confirms first COVID-19 case in the city.
According to a report from CNN, the case is among the 10 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country.
Health Assistant Secretary Maria Rosario Vergeire told CNN Philippines the patient was admitted to a hospital in Quezon City.
Updated list of information regarding coronavirus patients:
- 32-year-old Filipino – St Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig
- 86-year-old American – Medical City in Ortigas
- 38-year-old Taiwanese – Makati Medical Center
- 57-year-old Filipino – St. Luke’s Quezon City
That’s already part of the 10 persons. This Quezon City, the address would be the hospital’s address and not the address of the person
On Sunday, the Health Department reported four new cases of the coronavirus. This sums the total of infected in the Philippines to 10. As per the report, all four were tested on Saturday with the results released on Sunday.
According to Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, all four patients showed mild coronavirus symptoms. The patients were a 38-year-old Filipino who had a travel history to Japan, an 86-year-old American who went to the US and South Korea, and a 57-year-old Filipino man without travel history.
Because of the confirmed cases, several schools have suspended work and classes.
