SUV Driver Critically Hurt In Collision In Lucena City
LUCENA CITY – A driver of a sport utility vehicle (SUV) was critically hurt due to an accident in a highway in Lucena City on Friday.
According to Inquirer, the incident occurred at around 1 AM along the Marikina Highway of the city.
Reports from the local police states that the injured, identified as Gerard Dandy Bayaua, aged 34 years, drove his Suzuki Jimny SUV when he crashed with an approaching pickup truck, identified as a Ford Ranger, in one section of the highway in Brgy. Isabang.
Bayaua’s SUV hit the left portion of the Ranger, which was driven by a physician, identified as Nicasio Radovan III, aged 49 years.
As a result, Bayaua received major injuries and was in an unconscious state. He was further taken to the Lucena United Doctor’s Hospital.
Based on the report, Radovan called the local police to report the incident. Reports also show that Bayaua was out of his lane when the accident happened.
