March 2, 7, & 31, 2020 Declared as Special Non-Working Holidays

WALANG PASOK – Malacañang Palace has declared March 2, 7, and 31, 2020 as special non-working holidays in the following areas.

Different areas in the Philippines have declared class and government work suspension in three different days this March 2020. The dates have been declared as special non-working days to celebrate particular events.

Malacañang Released Proclamation Nos. 911, 912, and 913 series of 2020 declaring March 2, 7, and 31 as special holidays in two provinces and a city. The holidays have been declared to give people in those areas full opportunity to celebrate and participate in these occasions with appropriate ceremonies.

Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea signed those proclamations with the power and authority bestowed by President Rodrigo Duterte.

Here is the celebration of respective occasions:

  • March 2, 2020 (Monday)The province of La Union would celebrate its 170th Founding Anniversary based on Proclamation No. 911.
  • March 7, 2020 (Saturday)The province of Basilan would celebrate its 46th Founding Anniversary based on Proclamation No. 912.
  • March 31, 2020 (Tuesday)The City of Panabo in the province of Davao del Norte would celebrate its 19th Founding Anniversary based on Proclamation No. 913.
