NO COUNTRY WILL BE SPARED – Experts believe that the coronavirus outbreak has become too far-spread for containment with countries having increased numbers confirmed cases of the virus.

This led to the World Health Organization stating that all countries needed to prepare to fight against the new coronavirus, COVID-19. New infections are reported worldwide on a daily basis, especially in South Korea.

The country had shown an unexpected spike in the number of cases, the majority of which traced back to a religious sect in the city of Daegu. Because of the outbreak, South Korea had been placed under RED Alert for infectious diseases.

Meanwhile, the Director-General of WHO stated that even rich nations with good health care should prepare for a potential outbreak.

In addition, Anthony Fauci, Director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases stated that COVID-19 has a serious potential for morbidity and mortality.

Along with this, he added that the world is now “dealing with a serious virus”. Especially a report that a woman in Japan tested positive for the virus after she was cleared of symptoms.

Similar reports have also been confirmed in China suggesting the possibility that the disease does not confer with immunity. Scientists warned that much is yet to be known about the virus.

Based on an article from ABS-CBN, the head of WHO’s emergency program, Dr. Mike Ryan, stated that discussions were held with organizers about the 2020 Olympics set in Tokyo. Although, no decision was expected regarding its fate expect soon.
