PAGASA – Amihan To Affect North Luzon On February 27, 2020

PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration this February 27, 2020.

The early morning forecast from the bureau states that the northeast monsoon or amihan will affect extreme north Luzon on this day.

According to GMA, amihan will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands.

The weather system will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, as well as the rest of the Luzon.

Meanwhile, the entire Visayas and Mindanao will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides might occur especially during thunderstorms.

As per the report, for the forecast wind speed, extreme Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will have strong winds moving northeastward with rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have moderate to strong winds also moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.
