On February 24, Monday, a Senate hearing was held regarding the franchise renewal of the Kapamilya network. During the session, Katigbak apologize to President Rodrigo Duterte for not airing his political ads during the 2016 elections.
He explained that the network was just abiding the rules and regulations regarding the airing of political ads. In addition, the CEO of the media company also said that they returned the money but the President did not accept the remaining amount.
Katigbak also stressed out that ABS-CBN did not transgress any rule/law when it comes to franchise renewal. Amid the issue, Kapamilya stars thanked the people who expressed support for the network and one of them is Vice Ganda.
The comedian-host thanked the “madlang pipol” through his recent Twitter post. However, as usual, he incorporated humor in his post and it involved ABS-CBN CEO Carlo Katigbak. Apparently, the young network executive received admiration from many people. This perhaps, prompted the comedian to shared this post.
“Maraming salamat po sa suporta at pagmamahal nyo mga Kapamilya! Di po namin gustong saktan ang mga puso nyo pero OPO MAY ASAWA NA PO SI SIR CARLO KATIGBAK!!!! Chozzzzzzz!!!” he wrote.
