Here are the reactions to the statement of Coco Martin during the ABS-CBN rally
Ang Probinsyano lead actor Coco Martin had this statement during the ABS-CBN rally and this received various reactions from netizens.
This event is in line with the cry of the media company regarding its franchise renewal. Amid this issue, Kapamilya executives, celebrities, and even those working behind the camera gathered along Sgt. Esguerra to shout together for the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN.
It can be recalled that President Rodrigo Duterte has been vocal about his predicaments against the network. Several politicians also took his side along with action star Robin Padilla who is known as one of his celebrity supporters.
Robin even slammed Coco because of this issue. However, the camp of the Ang Probinsyano actor denied the allegations against him while several of his co-workers defended him.
Coco Martin was one of the prominent stars who joined the ABS-CBN rally. His statement during the event touched the heart of supporters of the Kapamilya network. Based on the Twitter post of journalist Karen Davila, here is what Coco said: “ayokong makitang mawala ang kumpanyang pinagkakautangan namin ng loob…hindi kami naghahanap ng gulo.. mahalaga ang freedom of expression para mailabas ang saloobin.”
In the post of Davila, netizens wrote various reactions. Some said that indeed Coco is “tunay na idol” and he was commended because of that. However, there were those who criticized the primetime series actor. For them, the Kapamilya star should thank his fans and not the network.
