Man Climbs Electric Post, Walks On Wire In Quezon City
QUEZON CITY – A man climbed an electric post in Quezon City Sunday (February 9) evening and walked on the electric wires.
According to GMA’s Balitambayan, the incident took place in a corner in South Castor and Thomas Morato Avenue. The man was seen fearless as he traversed the cable lines.
There was a moment when the man stopped as he was warned by surrounding witnesses in the area.
Pepito Abejero, a security guard in the area, said that the man suddenly climbed at the electricv post.
“Nakita ko na lang siya tumatakbo. Umakyat siya roon. Inaano ko na siya para bumaba. Pero hindi ako pinakinggan, umakyat sa itaas. Andyan na mga bata, lalong natakot sa mga bata, hindi na umalis sa itaas,”
Aberejo then asked barangay officials for help. Responding police and rescuers arrived at the scene a minute after.
“Nung dumating ‘yung mga pulis naglambitin na siya diyan sa wire na ‘yan. Hindi na umalis. Bumalik siya rito. Pagdating diyan sa ibabaw na ‘yan, inakyat na ng pulis para kunin siya,”
As per the report, when the man approached another post, the police placed a ladder and approach the man.
When asked, the man said that someone was threatening him, prompting him to climb up the post. He was eventually taken to a hospital. The Kamuning Police are currently probing the incident.
