AirAsia To Give Flight Data To DOH On 3rd nCov Case

AIRASIA – AirAsia said it will coordinate with the DOH regarding the details of flights concerning the third confirmed case of nCoV.

The Department of Health confirmed the 3rd case of Novel Coronavirus in the Philippines, which is identified as a 60-year-old Chinese national.

The woman has already returned to Shenzhen, China via an AirAsia flight to Cebu on January 1. after the DOH discharged her since her previous sample taken in January 24 tested negative.

She, however, was tested positive on the first test sent to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) which the results was released on February 3.

Acoording to Inquirer, the said airlines is ready and willing to provide relevant documents to the DOH, which includes the flight manifest and available contact details of guests on board the flight.

“The operating flight crews have also been quarantined in compliance with the Philippine government’s travel ban,”

The airlines also noted that it tallied a flight going to Shenzhen from Cebu with flight number Z2 7800. It left on January 31 at 11:35 PM (PHT) and arrived at 2:40.

As per the report, Health Undersecretary Eric Domingo revealed that the patient came from Wuhan in Hubei province through a Cebu Pacific flight on January 20.

He added that she went to Bohol a day later where she admitted to a hospital after experiencing fever and runny nose.
