Kapamilya show Gandang Gabi Vice (GGV) of Vice Ganda allegedly surrenders to its rival Kapuso show The Boobay and Tekla Show.
Kapuso comedians Boobay and Tekla bravely went against GGV that has been airing for almost a decade now. The two shows have a tight competition when it comes to the rating games.
Each of them introduced new gimmicks in order to catch the attention of television viewers. As the show offers entertainment and laughter, people would always compare their episodes. Some believe that GGV is now being overpowered by TBATS, while some remain loyal to the show of Vice.
Based on the article by entertainment columnist Gorgy Rula in Pilipino Star Ngayon, a reliable confirmed that Vice Ganda’s show is about to say goodbye on air. This drew out speculations that perhaps it already accepted that the other show defeated them in ratings.
Allegedly, this came after several attempts to rise again against the rival show. In addition, the entertainment columnist shared that they heard rumors that a new show is ready to replace GGV.
It is rumored that the new show’s title is Everybody Sing. However, it is still not sure until now if its format is a game show or not. Another thing that was revealed by the source is that Vice Ganda is still the host of the show.
Based on the article, the January 26 episode of GGV had a higher rating than TBATS. However, many people reacted negatively as the Kapamilya show allegedly looked so desperate just to win in the ratings. The columnist pointed out that there was a portion when Arci Munoz ate a lollipop which was on the feet of a comedian. The staff was reprimanded because of this because it was “nakakadiri”, according to Rula.
