List of Schools w/c Released a “No Class” Notice Today To Prevent Coronavirus

NO CLASS – Several schools declared a class suspension today, January 27, 2020, as part of fighting against coronavirus.

Recently, several countries were alarmed by the ongoing outbreak in the mainland China. A disease, the novel coronavirus, has infected more than two (2) thousand people now and several patients have passed away.

The said disease is suspected to have come from the bat soup served in a market in Wuhan City. Its symptoms may include fever, cough, and breathing difficulties.

In China, a doctor who helped treat coronavirus patients passed away. Undeniably, it scared the public even more as it is seen to be stronger than SARS which was the cause of death of hundreds of people in 2002.

Coronavirus has reached several countries now including Japan, Nepal, and Australia. In the Philippines, a child was previously suspected to be infected by the disease but, fortunately, he tested negative.

No Class

In line with the pursuit to fight coronavirus, several schools in the Philippines have decided to suspend classes today, January 27, 2020. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, here is a list of the schools which released a “no class” announcement:

  • Hope Christian High School in Manila
  • Pace Academy in Quezon City
  • St. Jude Catholic School in Manila
  • St. Stephen’s High School
  • Uno High ASchool in Manila
  • Chiang Kai Shek College (Algue and Narra Campuses)
