Couple’s Nest for Intimate Moment of Married Couples in Tagaytay Evacuation Centers Elicits Comments Online
The Couple’s nest made for the intimate moment of married couples in Tagaytay evacuation centers elicits comments online.
Tagaytay City’s local government unit has set up private rooms for married couples who were temporarily residing in evacuation centers. Numerous residents temporarily take shelter in evacuation centers due to Taal’s activity.
Tagaytay City Health Officer Fe Capupus said that the “couple’s nest” is important to resolve the need of couples. Capupus explained that the couple’s intimate needs should also be given priority.
“Kailangan ng couple’s nest kasi ito ay isa sa mga pangangailangan ng mag asawa, so they need to be intimate with each other. Dapat iyan, mabigyan ng prioridad at mabigayan din ng serbisyo,” Capupus said.
The married couples will undergo counseling about family planning and they also need to present a slip they could ask from evacuation facilities before they can use the room. The LGU will also provide commodities such as contraceptives in each room.
The facility will be available from morning until 10:00 pm in the evening. Only married couples were allowed to use the room, according to the city health officer.
However, the couple’s nest garnered various reactions from the online community stating that it was insensitive to think about intimacy during a time of calamity. A certain netizen stressed out that the government should provide decent toilet facilities first.
