Liza Soberano Reveals Reason Why She Wanted To Quit Showbiz Last Year
LIZA SOBERANO – ABS-CBN actress Liza Soberano admitted she thought of leaving the showbusiness while recovering in the US.
Filipino-American actress Liza Soberano is one of the most beautiful stars in the Philippines. She was tapped to portray the role of the titular superhero ‘Darna’ but she backed out due to finger injury. Newcomer Jane de Leon has been chosen to play the role of the Filipino superhero.
In July, Liza went to the United States to repair her finger that was injured while shooting her tv series ‘Bagani’ in 2018. She was accompanied by her boyfriend Enrique Gil.
Liza Soberano’s aunt Joni Lyn Castillo-Pillarina uploaded the video of the actress who failed to recognize Enrique Gil.
Months after her surgery, the 22-year-old celebrity has recovered. She and her boyfriend made a tv comeback via new show ‘Make It With You.’
The celebrity couple was recently interviewed on Boy Abunda’s talk show “Tonight With Boy Abunda.” During the interview, Liza Soberano admitted that she had thoughts of leaving the show business because of her finger injury. She said last year was very challenging for her.
“Actually, I think that was the whole struggle I was going through last year…I didn’t know if showbiz was for me anymore. I didn’t know if I was passionate about it,” she said.
After her finger surgery in the US last year, Liza Soberano said she enjoyed her vacation because it’s stress-free. “Ang saya… stress-free. I know it’s because we were kind of on a vacation, di ba?” she said.
“But, I’m not complaining. I love my job and I’m very blessed to have everything I have right now but, sometimes, ’cause I’m a very simple person and I enjoy the simplest things in life and hindi mo makukuha ’yon sa ganitong trabaho,” she added.
