Leni Robredo Packs Relief Goods W/ ‘Mocha’ Behind Her
LENI ROBREDO – Vice president Leni Robredo teased “mocha” while repacking relief goods for Taal evacuees.
Vice President Leni Robredo and her foundation ‘Angat Buhay’ has donated food packs to the communities affected by the Taal volcanic eruption. Volunteers from Metro Manila also helped them prepare the relief bags.
On Tuesday, Leni Robredo attended the briefing from military officials and Task Force Taal at San Fernando Air Base. She then proceeded to the evacuation center to see the situation of the families displaced by the eruption.
Several towns in Batangas were heavily damaged from the Taal eruption. In a previous article, the villagers said they are ready to leave the island for good after President Rodrigo Roa Duterte declared Taal as ‘no man’s land.’
On Thursday, Leni Robredo took to social media to express her gratitude to the people who responded to her call to give aid to the victims of the eruption. The video was uploaded on her official Facebook Page.
Leni helped her staff repacking the goods for the evacuees. She said all of the goods were donated by private citizens. She said the donations included blankets, water bottles, toiletries, mattresses, and cookies.
“Andito po tayo ngayon nagre-repack ng goods. Ito pong goods na nakikita niyo dito sa paligid, lahat ito ay donated by private citizens,” she said.
In the latter part of the video, Leni smiled and pointed to the box of mocha-flavored cookies. She chucked and said “kumpleto.” Her video was uploaded hours after she called out Mocha Uson’s Facebook Page for spreading fake news. Uson criticized the politician for allegedly prioritizing publicity stunts.
