Employees Get Bonus Whether Or Not They Will Work On April 9 – NWPC

APRIL 9 – The National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) announced that there employees are entitled to a bonus on April 9 (Thursday).

In the official Facebook page of the National Wages and Productivity Commission, they said that April 9 will have two holidays:

  • Araw ng Kagitingan
    • Also known as Bataan Day or Bataan and Corregidor Day or translated as Day of Valor. This commemorates the fall of Bataan during World War II (WWII). This falls on April 9.
  • Maundy Thursday
    • The fifth day of the Catholic Holy Week, also known as Holy Thursday. It falls on Thursday on the said week.

In their post, if the employees did not work, they are entitled to a 200% of their daily wage rate. At the same time, if they did report to work , they are entitled to 300%of their daily wage rate.
