Newly-crowned Binibining Cebu 2020 Beatrice Luigi Gomez, in front of many people during her journey to the title and crown, bravely and proudly shared to many people about her girlfriend of five years already. This is all despite the scrutiny and criticisms same sex relationships still receive from the society.
This kind of relationship might quite unique but this has got nothing to do with them as a person and nothing to set them apart from normal boy-girl relationships for they are after all just people being in love to each other.
According to a report from PEP, it was during the Question and Answer portion when the beauty queen dropped something private and personal about her. She was asked what makes her beautiful and here is her answer: “I guess what makes me beautiful is my bravery and being true to myself. To tell you guys honestly, I have a girlfriend, I have tattoos, and I’m very proud of my imperfection. And I guess that what makes me beautiful.”
In her interview with The Freeman, Gomez was elated that the organization accepted her for who she is and grateful to people who have been supporting her cause. So, why did she dropped it? She answered she don’t want to struggle, hide, and hurt many people especially her girlfriend.
Her girlfriend is accordingly the performance DJ Kate Jagdon who, in an Instagram post, congratulated her proudly along with other winners. They have been together for five years already.
