Alden Richards and Alex Gonzaga criticized for allegedly not helping the Taal eruption victims
Pambansang Bae Alden Richards and actress/vlogger Alex Gonzaga were accused of not helping the victims of the Taal eruption.
Several celebrities already showed their concern and extended help to the evacuees. However, netizens slammed Alex and Alden for allegedly not helping the victims of the calamity.
Based on the article from PEP, apparently Alex is being compared to other celebrities when it comes to helping the Taal eruption victims.
In line with the criticisms, she has this tweet: “I appreciate everyone na tumutulong sa nasalanta nating kababayan. However, boyfriend ko po konsehal ng Lipa at ako man po maraming kakilala sa Batangas kaya bago nya pa po kami husgahan at idemand na tumulong naisip na ho namin yan. Hindi na po kailangan ipost ang tulong.”
Alden also received the same criticisms online. A netizen has this comment against the Kapuso star: “#taalvolcanoeruption2020 MUNA ALDEN, panahon muna ng pakikidamhati SAYANG NAMAN ang pagiging maka-DIYOS mo. Bukas mo na lang ulit buhatin ang grupo mo kasama na sarili mo. BAYANIHAN muna para sa #PrayForPhilippines #TaalVolcanoAshfall. Huwag muna pabida at pabibo kung maari Lang.”
With this negative remark for the actor, his father Richard Faulkerson Sr. came to the rescue. He shared a screenshot of his conversation with his son on Twitter.
It showed that Alden Richards was borrowing money from his dad. He said to his father to leave the money to someone named Reynie. However, the last name of that person was covered. Then, the Pambansang Bae said that it was “pantulong”.
“Isang tao palang yan boss, kahapon 7:15 ng umaga kahit malayo siya dun sa dapat mabigyan mg tulong, may ginagawa na yan. Thank you,” the father of the Eat Bulaga host said.
