Several showbiz events were affected due to the Taal eruption which happened on Sunday, January 12.
Amid the news that Taal is still unrest after spewing ashes that reached Metro Manila, celebrities announced the postponement of their showbiz events.
Based on the article from the Philippine Entertainment Portal, Senator Bong Revilla postponed his lunch with the members of the entertainment media. The event is supposed to take place on January 13. The group of the actor/politician is monitoring the latest updates on the eruption.
Furthermore, the Facebook Page of Mia: The Movie featuring Edgar Alan Guzman and Coleen Garcia has this announcement regarding their supposed “National Mia Day”. The said movie is set to be released in cinemas on January 15.
“We would like to inform the public that we have decided to POSTPONE the celebration of the #NationalMiaDay tomorrow, January 13, at the Cinema 1 of SM Megamall to ensure the safety of all the event participants from the hazardous ash fall caused by the Taal volcano eruption. Please wait for further announcement on when the event is going to push through. We pray for the safety of everyone,” the post stated.
A Soldier’s Heart, the upcoming TV series of Gerald Anderson and Carlo Aquino, set a red-carpet screening at Gateway Mall, Araneta City, Quezon City, this Monday. However, due to the Taal Volcano eruption, this even was also postponed.
Even radio programs are pre-empted because of the coverage of the latest happenings in Taal, based on the article. Meanwhile, TV series Ang Probinsyano and Descendants of the Sun continue their shooting. However, they are advised to be extra careful.
