Grade 9 Student Declared Dead-On-Arrival After Punched by His 18-Year-Old Classmate in Cebu
TALISAY CITY, CEBU – A grade 9 student identified as Nash Embaces died after punched by his 18-year-old bully classmate.
Talisay City Police Station Police Senior Master Sergeant Alfredo Ygot Mandal reported that the incident is another case of bullying. The suspect is calling the victim bald, while the victim is calling the suspect ‘Gay’.
The hot-headed suspect identified as Cegie Cristuta Gallicia ran out of temper and suddenly punched the victim at the nape of its neck and stomach around 9:00 pm on Thursday evening (January 9, 2020).
The 15-year-old victim collapsed and his head directly hit the ground, which worsened his condition. The two were having a feud and already hating each other for a long period of time.
The victim’s parents tried to contact their son but they were shocked after hearing the incident. The unconscious victim suffered from breathing difficulty and was rushed to hospital but eventually declared dead-on-arrival.
Gallicia is now facing charges of homicide but refused to give a statement regarding the incident.
