KIRAY CELIS – Formerly Kapamilya artists Kiray Celis has this reaction when asked about the franchise renewal issue of ABS-CBN network.
“Itong ABS, mag-expire ang contract ninyo. Mag-renew kayo, ewan ko lang kung may mangyari diyan. Kung ako sa inyo ipagbili niyo na ‘yan,” says President Rodrigo Duterte. He is firm in pushing through to close the network which denied him of airing his political campaign ads during the presidential elections.
With this, TV5 and PLDT Group of Companies CEO Manny V. Pangilinan said he is willing to help the network. TV5 and sister network 5 Plus are open to air Kapamilya shows. Putting down network war, they are actually ready to make deals with the bosses of the Kapamilya network.
Angeline Quinto now has her “Plan B” if ever the network closes down while Megastar Sharon Cuneta was emotional asking the president to reconsider the franchise renewal of her network not because she just renewed her contract but because of the people that will ultimately get affected with the possible closing down.
Kiray Celis, the Kapuso actress who rose to fame as a child star from this network, says that whatever the issue there may be with the renewal of ABS-CBN’s franchise doesn’t matter to her. The 25-year-old Kapuso comedienne says that she is not in place to talk about it because she is not a part of it. She actually signed a 10-year contract with Kapuso network already.
She stated based on PEP, “Hindi na po nagma-matter sa akin. Siguro problema na po nila yun, I think. Pero sana masolusyonan kasi may nagtatrabaho sa kanila. Nakakalungkot kapag mawala yun siyempre.”
