MMFF SUMMER EDITION – Here are some important details you need to know about the first ever MMFF Summer Edition which is set to happen this year.
The first summer edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival is set to happen this year in Quezon City. The deadline of the films for a chance to be included in the list of official entries for the 1st Summer MMFF was on January 31 but got extended until February 15.
Those who got not included during the 45th MMFF can have a chance in this edition by sending a letter of intent minus the entry fee. But those films who will join the event for the first time and passed the finished film on or before January 31 will have a Php 30,000.00 entry film.
Meanwhile, those who will submit between the dates of February 1 to February 15 has Php 50,000.00 to pay as an entry fee. Same with the event during Decembers of every year, the summer edition will also pick eight films as official entries.
The parade of stars will happen on April 15 (Palm Sunday), the showing will start on April 11 (Black Saturday) until April 21 (Tuesday). The film festival will obviously last for 11 days. Moreover, the committee are targeting to earn Php 500-million in terms of total gross sales.
