The Beetle was surrounded by hundreds of people cheering it onwards. In the animation, several iconic characters in pop-culture also showed up.

Among these was the Beetle driving itself which was an homage to the 1968 classic, The Love Bug. The film featured a self-driving car called “Herbie”.
