Pampanga Multi-Vehicle Accident Left With Seven Dead

PAMPANGA – Seven people were confirmed dead in a multi-vehicle accident that occurred in the municipality of Lubao, Pampanga on New Year.

According to GMA News, among the fatalities was Marie Grace David, who was on her way to celebrate with her child, who is 12 years of age and is injured.

Meanwhile, another fatality, identified as Rowel Flores, aged 32 years, was also on his way home from the town of Dau where he celebrated New Year. On the other hand, a certain Linatte Valite, aged 18 years, was on her way to meet her boyfriend.

The other fatalities were identified as Princess Quinto, Alex Razheed Nilayan, John Raven Astrero, and Mary Grace Castro.

Nine others were injured in the accident, where seven of them are currently confined at Pampanga Medical Specialist Hospital and two others at Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital in San Fernando.

Based on the report, a CCTV footage shows that a pickup truck was about to turn to the main road from Jasa road. It collided with the passenger jeep carrying the victims, which cannot be seen in the video.

The pickup truck was thrown toward the opposite lane where it was hit by an oncoming truck. As for the passenger jeep, it was a total wreck. A rescue operation was implemented ASAP.

The driver of the said pickup, identified as Alexander Domingo, 68 years of age, is currently facing charges for reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide, physical injuries and damage to properties.

Domingo is currently detained at the Lubao Municipal Police Station.
