Tricycle Mishap In Quezon Leaves With Four Dead, Three Injured

TRICYCLE MISHAP – A tricycle mishap that occurred in the town of Candelaria, Quezon province, left with four fatalities and three injured.

According to PhilStar, the tricycle rode by the aforementioned victims was hit by an approaching bus along the Maharlika Highway in the municipality of Candelaria.

The local police identified the fatalities as Wilson Garma, the tricycle driver, aged 29 years; Cristito Garma, aged 60 years; Althea Garma, aged 5 years; and Florylane Garma, aged 31 years.

All the victims of the accident were rushed to the Peter Paul Medical Center in the said town but Wilson, Cristito and Althea died along the way. On the other hand, Florylane died while she underwent treatment.

As for the other three passengers, they were identified as Corazon Garma, aged 53 years; Ashley Dianne Garma, aged 10 years; and Jhon Wine Garma, aged 4 years.

The three remain confined at the hospital due to injuries.

As per the article, police reports did not confirm how the victims are related to each other. The reports did show that the tricycle collided head on with the Lucena-bound bus from the Lucena Liner Inc. which was driven by Dario Aliocod in Barangay Bukal Sur at around 6 PM.

Aliocod is currently detained at the local police jail.
