“Miracle In Cell No. 7” Bags No. 1 Spot In Metro Manila Film Festival
MIRACLE IN CELL NO. 7 – The Philippine adaptation of the film “Miracle In Cell No. 7” is now the highest grossing film among the entires at MMFF.
The Philippine adaptation of the well-known Korean film stars Aga Mulach, Bela Padilla, JC Santos, Joel Torre, and more.
According to KAMI, the film has just surpassed the earning of another entry “The Mall, The Merrier” which featured It’s Showtime hosts Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis.
This is the first time after several years that a film starring Vice Ganda, known as the “Phenomenal Box Office Star”, was defeated by another entry in terms of gross.
Vice earlier hinted on December 27 that his film already earned more than ₱100 million two days after its release date. However, tha Aga Mulach film was confirmed to earn the number one spot.
As per the report, as stated by Ricky Lo, PhilStar entertainment editor, said that Aga could not believe that he is the new king of Philippine box office.
“Aga Muhlach can’t seem to believe that he’s the newest MMFF Box Office King. ‘Ha, I’m the King, of what?’ Aga asked. ‘Of what kingdom?’”
