Director, Producer of Original ‘Miracle In Cell No. 7’ Reacts To Filipino Version

MIRACLE IN CELL NO 7 – The director and producer of the South Korean hit film ‘Miracle in Cell No. 7’ reacted to the Filipino version of their film.

The Filipino version of the South Korean hit drama film “Miracle in Cell No. 7” is one of the entries for the Metro Manila Film Festival 2019. Aga Muhlach, Xia Vigor, Bela Padilla, JC Santos, and Tirso Cruz III are among the cast members.

It is a story about a mentally-ill man who was accused of murdering and little girl. He became friends with his fellow inmates and together they form a plan to get his daughter into the prison.

Following a previous article, the original actor of the record-breaking movie in Korea, Ryu Seung-Ryong, reacted to the Pinoy remake of his movie. He said the poster of the Pinoy adaptation of ‘Miracle in Cell No. 7’ on his Facebook account. It came with a caption, “So touched to know that there will be a Philippine remake.”

Based on a report from PUSH, the director and producer of the hit Korean film are in the Philippines to watch the premiere night of the Filipino remake of their film on Monday, December 16. Lee Hwan-kyung is the director of the film and produced by Kim Min-ki.

According to the report, both of them were impressed by the Pinoy version. The producer said he forgot that there is an original movie while watching it. “Yung feeling ko po na hindi ko alam na merong original, parang ito yung original kaya sobrang maganda yung feeling at experience namin sa panonood ng inyong Pinoy version,” he said translated in Filipino.

“Yung final scene ng movie, mas touching siya kesa sa original kaya sa last part pinaka-impressive, sobrang nakaka-touch. Parang nakatanggap kami ng regalo from the Philippines,” Director Lee said.

They said the Filipino actors portrayed their roles very well and liked how the story it ended.
