16 People Injured By Iloilo Road Accident
ILOILO ROAD ACCIDENT – An accident in Iloilo City on New Year’s Day, January 2, 2020, left 16 people injured.
Yesterday, a lot of families gathered to celebrate the New Year. The year 2019 has bid goodbye and 2020, a new chapter, entered and was welcomed by many people.
Some families gathered in their households to celebrate the New Year over food, music, games, and gift-giving activities. Others spent it outdoors visiting tourist spots and amusement centers.
However, amid the celebration, there were people who met unexpected incidents yesterday. One of these unfortunate happenings took place in Iloilo City.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, 16 people were left injured by an Iloilo road accident on New Year’s Day, January 2, 2020. The victims were biologically related.
The accident took place in Pototan, Iloilo. The jeepney was from Dueñas City and the family was supposedly on their way home.
Based on the report, Pototan Municipal Police Station Staff Sergeant Amando Caporal expressed that the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle. It fell on the side of the road.
The passengers were brought to the hospital. Some of them have already been discharged while one of them is still confined. The victims have already signed an affidavit of non-interest to file a case against the driver since they are families.
