Here is the list of prohibited firecrackers for the New Year’s celebration

For the New Year’s celebration this coming December 31, 2019 until January 1, 2020, authorities released this list of prohibited firecrackers.

Using “paputok” to welcome the coming year has been a tradition of many people around the globe, especially in the Philippines. Pinoys also create trademarks “paputok”.

However, despite the happiness and thrill that firecrackers bring to many people, there have been accidents caused by these. Most of the victims are children and those who are drunk. Some incidents even led to fatality. This prompted President Rodrigo Duterte to express his desire to have a law that will totally ban firecrackers nationwide.

In line with this, authorities already released a list of “paputok” that are not allowed to be sold and used. The Philippine National Police (PNP), encourage the public to report those who are selling and using prohibited “paputok”, based on the report from ABS-CBN.

“We encourage the community to reach out to the PNP especially kung mayroon silang information pertaining dito so that we can take appropriate actions,” PNP officer in charge Lt. Gen. Francisco Gamboa said.

Authorities also remind the public that it is prohibited to lit a firecracker in public places except to where the local government assigned as public display areas.

Meanwhile, based on the report, firecracker sellers from Bocaue, Bulacan, admitted that their sale decreased compared to last year.
