LRT-2 Shortens Operating Hours On December 24 And 31

LRT-2 – The Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) announced on Monday that it will shorten its operating hours on December 24 and 31, 2019.

According to Inquirer, Line 2 elaborated that in Cubao Station (Westbound) and Recto Station (Eastbound), its last commercial trip will leave at about 8 PM on December 24 (Tuesday).

The last trips from both westbound and eastbound stations will have their last trips depart at about 7:30 PM.

As per the report, Cubao’s last trip usually leaves at 8:30 PM, while last trip from Recto leaves at 9 PM.

Line 2 further added that the shortened operations is in lieu of the significant decline in ridership and in order to allow their staff to enjoy this holiday season up and New Year with their loved ones.

“TAKE NOTE: The LRT-2 System will reduce its operating hours on Dec. 24 & Dec. 31, 2019 in anticipation of a significant decline in ridership and to allow our station/security personnel to celebrate Christmas & New Year’s Eve with their families. Happy holidays!”
