Class Suspensions Declared in These Areas on Monday (December 2)
WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspensions in different areas due to the effects of Bagyong Tisoy.
Typhoon Kammuri has already entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility and expected to severely affect the weather condition in the country. Bagyong Tisoy was last located at 55 km east of Virac, Catanduanes as of 4:00 am on Monday (December 2, 2019).
Bagyong Tisoy has maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 185 kph moving 20 kph at a west direction. Tisoy would bring strong winds and heavy rains over some parts of the country.
The state weather bureau PAGASA has also raised various tropical cyclone warning signals in several areas. Several schools and universities also declared class cancellation due to the effects of the weather system.
On Monday, several local government units have declared the suspension of classes in numerous areas due to Kammuri. The class cancellations have been made to ensure the safety of the students from any possible danger.
