SEA GAMES – Here’s the performance of the Philippine contender on the Dancesport competition for Single Dance Pasadoble in SEA Games 2019.
The Filipino athletes got all the emotional boost during the opening ceremony of the SEA Games 2019 on Saturday, November 30 at the Philippine Arena. More than 45 thousand people arrived to witness the parade of athletes and opening rites.
The 30th Southeast Asian Games is the biggest edition of the games’ history with competition venues spread in more than 20 cities across the country. Several Filipino athletes have bagged gold medals at the regional meet.
As expected, gymnast Carlos Yulo won in the men’s all-around while Agatha Wong defended her Wushu title. The Filipinos are on its way to scoop most of the gold medals.
Philippines’ bet Michael Angelo Marquez and Stephanie Sabalo dominated the Latin dances and Pasadoble events at the Royce Hotel in Clark, Pampanga. Based on a report from GMA News, the two athletes bagged the gold medal in Open Latin and Single Dance Paso Doble and second in Single Dance.
According to the report, Michael Angelo Marquez and Stephani Sabalo garnered a score of 164.10. In Single Dance Paso Doble they got 32.40 points and grabbed the silver medal in the Single Dance jive after scoring 32.65 points.
